For everyone who has decided to participate in our fasting and all night prayer for Jahar, here’s a reminder that it starts on Friday. It’s getting close! It’s not going to be easy, so let’s cover this thing in prayer, asking God for the strength and energy to make it through.
For those who aren’t participating, but are interested, here’s what we are doing:
- Fasting from the time we wake up on Friday until the first meal we’d normally eat on Saturday (so breakfast, if you eat it usually, or lunch otherwise)
- Praying from the time the clock strikes midnight on Saturday (technically, but for those of us who are night owls, it’ll feel like Friday still) until sometime in the morning (I’m personally shooting for 7 a.m.)
Ideally, we want people to fully participate in both parts, but anything that you are willing to do is gladly welcomed.
“The prayer power has never been tried to its full capacity. If we want to see mighty wonders of divine power and grace wrought in the place of weakness, failure and disappointment, let us answer God’s standing challenge, ‘Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things which thou knowest not!'”
