IMPORTANT NOTE
We strongly condemn and are disgusted by Jahar's actions, and we pray for his victims regularly. Nonetheless, as Christians, we believe that Jesus calls us to love our enemies and pray for them and that despite Jahar's heinous crimes, the blood of Jesus is more than sufficient to wash him white as snow. Also, this is not a blog either for or against the death penalty for Jahar, as whether he lives or dies, his eternity is what matters most.“Adopt” Jahar For Prayer

“But that’s impossible!”
I’m feeling really discouraged today thinking about how as we’ve prayed for Jahar, he’s actually gotten far deeper into Islam and learning about how basically all he reads is Islamic books that people send him thinking that they’ll help him. … Continue reading

Identity – A Letter to Jahar
Editor’s Note: If Jahar one day does become a Christian and the SAMs are ever lifted, I fully intend to send this letter to him. For now, the beautiful truths in this letter remain untrue, but it is my desperate prayer … Continue reading

Those Things He Was Saying Today: Reflections on the Tsarnaev Sentencing
On Wednesday, I attended Jahar’s formal sentencing in Boston. I had hemmed and hawed for a long time over whether to go or not. I don’t have a lot of extra vacation days to take, and they didn’t give much … Continue reading

Stacking the Deck
I don’t know Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. I never have. And until God answers our desperate prayers and I meet him in heaven, I likely never will. But C.S. Lewis once said, “Do not waste time bothering whether you ‘love’ your neighbor; … Continue reading
